Welcome to all our new families!
What a busy start to the new year, we have had lots of people come in to have a look around and sign up with us, you will notice a lot of new faces in the preschool over the next few weeks. We would like to welcome our all new families who have started with us this month, its wonderful to see all the children settling in and making lots of new friends.
Talking about new faces, congratulations to all our families who have had babies born this month!
Next week on Monday 24th we have our new Preschool teacher Bec who is starting in the Preschool room as our new head teacher after meeting her we are sure that you all will agree that she will be a great asset to the preschool teaching staff.
Kathryn will be back in the office from the 24th and from this date Rebecca will be changing her hours from 7.30am to 1pm and will now be in the office between 8am and 2pm Monday to Friday. Kathryn will usually be in the office in the afternoon, but if the desk is ever unattended please feel free to put a note in the silver drop box or send us an email and we will respond as soon as we possibly can.
Also from next week we will be starting our term time programme again which means, full 2 hours of the teaching room each day, library trips, two full detailed daily diaries per day and our fortnightly concepts start up in all areas. The first week we will be focusing on the number 8, the letter Q, the colour pink and our shape will be hexagon. Remember that all areas focus on these concepts and we also add the concepts to the daily diaries so you can reinforce your child's learning at home learning at home. From next week we will also start putting special pieces of art and a special photo up above the Reception area (under the slideshow tv). If your child's art or photo appears up there, you are most welcome to take it home with you the next week.
Don't forget to record any exciting experiences your child has outside preschool in their profile book, either through a parent voice form or even send us an email and a photo, children love to share experiences with their teacher and this helps strengthen the links between preschool and home.
This week the nusery had a wonderful experience this week with blue messy play!!
