Next Open day Sunday 4th July 10-12pm
Due to the sucess of our Sunday open days we have decided to extend them into the month of July so please feel free to come down next Sunday and have a look around!
We have been really busy over the past week, the Preschool and Toddler children went on a trip to the Lyttelton Library and we had a trial dance lesson for the children interested in our dance lessons starting next term.
Here are some of the photos of us on the bus going to the Lyttelton Library....

Trip Report
Maria at Lyttleton Library gave us a story telling session with the children about Matariki
What is Matariki?
Once a year, twinkling in the winter sky just before dawn, Matariki (the Pleiades) signals the Māori New Year. Traditionally, it was a time for remembering the dead, and celebrating new life. In the 21st century, observing Matariki has become popular again. Heaven-bound kites, hot-air balloons and fireworks help mark the occasion

The children were very lucky to make some star necklaces and were all given a special star cookie to take home. Thank you to all the Lyttelton Library staff who made this such an enjoyable trip for the children it was a really exciting fun experience!
We had our trial lesson last Friday in the gym for our Creative Dance lessons which begin next term. All the children had so much fun and even their parents got involved!
