Methods of Communication
Communication is a vital part of ensuring that the care and education of your child and family are being met. We aim to communicate with families in an open and responsive manner as a partnership.
Profile Books
Children are encouraged to share in the celebration of their special portfolio, they will have access to their own books and teachers will often spend time viewing them which encourages a sense of who they are, a sense of self and pride in their accomplishments.
We encourage families to cover their children’s profile book with photo or pictures. This gives children a sense of ownership and pride in this book which is all about them! It also helps them identify their book.
We invite parents to celebrate their child’s achievements and progress by taking an interest by providing written feedback in your child’s special portfolio, so we include “Parent Voice” or “A Story from Home” forms for you to write. Each learning story found in your child’s book will have a comment section at the bottom so you can share your perspective. Sometimes learning stories link to things that have happened at home and it is always exciting for us to see where they’ve come from and enables us to extent on these happenings.
Also included in your child’s profile book will be observations of your child, photo’s, special achievements, curriculum experiences, art work, parent interview information and more! Remember this profile books becomes a very special part of your child journey of early childhood experiences which is extremely valuable to your child.
